Black Tuesday
It's old news but makes me so upset every time I hear about this. Seriously, is this George Orwell's 1984 all over again?
Prime Ministers should be working towards increasing transparency in their governments, not targeting independent journalists and whistle blowers. Reminds me how fortunate I am to be in an environment where freedom of the press and expression are relatively respected.
Censorship is for children exposed to X-rated movies, not for hiding public matters that affects millions, even billions of people. The state's need for secrecy should not outweigh the citizens' right to know what's really going on in their countries.

"When pictures are taken Black and White, you capture the Soul."
Without color,
we aren't drawn to the makeup,
the color of our eyes or our hair,
or how tan our skin is.
It captures the innocence on our faces,
the hurt we've gone through,
the vulnerability,
brightening in our eyes, our skin
& our smile.

Need a remedy!
You cut out all forms of communication and social networking
You tell all of your friends you're going MIA
You wake up in the morning either with a pen or a book still in your hand or in a library cubicle desk.
Yes, it's that time of the year again..

Exam period without a doubt is the most lonely, depressing and stressful time of the year for universty students.
Here are some tips I have to help you get through the dark times:
1. Did you know that you can book study rooms for you and your friends in the library?

If you go to the University of Waterloo like me, go to this link and do it it takes 3 seconds
https://bookings.lib.uwaterloo.ca/sbs/
So you don't have to be that lonely loser hermit girl studying in her room all day long.. :S
2. Listen to music that will cheer you up!

My personal favourite album is Jason Mraz's, especially:
The Remedy

3. Grab take-out food with your homies
Making plans to grab food with your friends gives you time to catch up during this busy time.
I strongly recommend Campus Pizza if you're in the Waterloo area because it is open the latest, perfect for late night munchies!
And of course, there's nothing like eating leftover frozen pizza or chinese from last night's allnighter.
Imma get my sweat pants and hoodies out.. Let's do this!! :)

Here is a confession: I've forgotten I had a blog.
But today, after an hour long phone conversation with my sister about life and relationships, I thought to myself, 'what better place to let it all out than on my personal blog'?
Song of the day:
Big Girls Don't Cry by Fergie

It describes my feeling perfectly not to mention the fact that I can kinda immitate her sexy husky voice cause I've completely lost my voice at Chainsaw last night.. :)

Exam crunch time!

This is just a short blog before my biological clock completely malfunctions. Pulling all nighters every day for the past week turned me into a living zombie and now I'm suffering from a condition I never thought I would suffer from: insomnia... I just can't seem to be able to go back to sleep after 5am!
Anyways, exams are really stressful and I really wish I had started studying months before the exam crunch began.
I came up with 3 tips to reduce stress during the exam time that I'm going to strictly abide by for the next 2 weeks.
1. Force yourself to take breaks.
Breaks are so important especially during cramming time. Your brain needs time to process the huge amount of information intake. So make sure you take at least 10 minute break after an hour of studying!
2. Know when to say NO!
It's really important to get your priorities straight during exam crunch time. Going out with friends might seem harmless at the moment but always remember the closer you are to the exam date the heavier the consequences will be. Remember, you want to get good GPA.
3. Be confident!
Always keep in mind that you are no less prepared than anybody else in your classroom. Trust that you have done the best you could and relax and smile going into that gymnasium :)
Cant wait till freedom!

Sun is on my side take me for a ride.

I was woken up at around 10am today by a phone call.
After 10 minutes of mumbling things I do not have any recollection of, I headed towards my window for some fresh air.
It was the best feeling I have gotten in months. I almost felt like Sleeping Beauty who has just seen the sun for the first time in a hundred years.
I figured I need to soak up all the sunshine while it lasted. So I'm going to make a trip to the library soon instead of studying in my dark dungeon-like residence room.
I usually don't like blogging about things like weather because I think it's super cheesy. But this time I cannot help myself. I had forgotten sunshine could make a person this refreshed and energetic :)
Fantasizing about summer 2010,

My thoughts on Blogging
I never really understood bloggers.
I used to think that they are introvert people who are just too shy to share their feelings in person.
Until I realized that's not really why they are blogging.
Everyone has their own reasons for ending up in various blogging scenes, but for me it's to document everything that interests me.
Although I'm still not convinced that internet is the right place to document my inner feelings, thoughts, and fetishes, I'm going to give it a shot. Why the heck not?
With my thoughts always wondering in the most random places, I got justified perspectives on just about anything and everything. and I would love to just blog about them.
Here's to the journey,
clara
